Meet the Carlson's Kids Staff
Hello! My name is Connie Jansen. I am the director/pre-k 4 teacher for Carlson's Kids at St. James the Greater Catholic School. Your child will be having a very busy and exciting school year. They will learn many things through play such as taking turns, how to share, rules, and communication skills. Your child will discover how to print their name and cut paper using scissors. During the school year students will also learn to identify numbers, the alphabet, shapes, colors, and environmental print.
I studied Early Childhood Education at Missouri Baptist University. I have nine years experience teaching preschool as a lead teacher and three years experience as an aid. I am the mother of three children and enjoying spending my free time with them.
Hello, My name is Marilyn Donaldson. I am the PreK 3 teacher for Carlson's Kids at St. James the Greater School. This first year of school for your child will be filled with lots of learning and excitement. Your child will be working on many social skills, i.e.: sharing, taking turns, following directions and how to communicate. He or she will be working towards identifying their letters, the numbers 1-10, as well as shapes and colors throughout the year.
I received my BSBA in Business from Central Missouri State University, and then returned to school at Fontbonne University where I earned my Elementary Education degree. I have worked as a Kindergarten teacher and as a Balanced Literacy teacher. I have been married for 11 years to my husband Lucas, and we have two beautiful children. I enjoy reading, sewing, playing softball and soccer, and enjoying time with my children. I look forward to being your child's teacher this year, as well as getting to know you, too!
